"Steph keep the family away" - Ayesha Curry chilling with Drake's associate prompts DJ Akademiks to fire shot at Kendrick Lamar

Steph Curry's wife Ayesha Curry spent Canadian Thanksgiving with one of Drake's known associates on Monday. That prompted DJ Akademiks to fire a shot at Kendrick Lamar, who famously mentioned the Golden State Warriors superstar on "Meet The Grahams."

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Akademiks shared a photo from OVO Mark's Instagram. Mark, who serves as an advisor to Drake, is one of the rapper's oldest friends. He was with Ayesha, his real-life cousin, on Monday.

Nevertheless, Akademiks decided to bring up K.Dot by mentioning a line from "Meet The Grahams" referencing Steph.

"Ayesha Curry chilling with ovomark. 'Steph keep the family away' 😭😭😭 Just put the fries in the bag Kbot," Akademiks tweeted.

For those unaware, DJ Akademiks is one of Drake's most loyal supporters. He stuck with the Canadian rapper even though the consensus on social media was Kendrick Lamar won the beef. As for Steph and Ayesha Curry's alliance, it has always been with Drake.

How is Ayesha Curry related to OVO Mark?

Ayesha Curry was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, until the age of 14 before moving to North Carolina, where she met future husband Steph Curry.

Ayesha was close with her cousin, Mark, who became an associate and adviser for Drake during his rise to stardom. Fans only put together the puzzle in a post on Reddit two months ago, with some finally understanding Kendrick Lamar’s lyrics on “Meet The Grahams.”

Lamar warned LeBron James and Steph Curry to keep their families away from Drake, who he accused of pedophilia.

However, it seems like it would be hard for the Currys to stay away from Drake, especially OVO Mark, since they’re a real family. Drake also being from Toronto meant Ayesha remained loyal to the record-breaking rapper.

Steph Curry still aligned with Drake amid beef with Kendrick Lamar

Despite what the public have been saying about Drake losing his beef against Kendrick Lamar, Steph Curry remained loyal with one of his friends.

Curry told GQ Magazine in an interview in July how he continues to support the Canadian rapper:

"I'm a big Drake guy. I've been for a long time. I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that, but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely."

Steph also appreciates the support Drake gives the family throughout the years. According to Fox Sports, Drake personally went to Ayesha Curry’s book signing in Toronto for the release of her cookbook called “The Seasoned Life” back in 2017.
