Stephon Castle's mom Quannette drops 3-word reaction to son clamping Steph Curry in the clutch

San Antonio Spurs rookie Stephon Castle is emerging as one of the top rookies from the 2024 NBA draft class. Coming out of UConn, Castle's minute count is increasing with every passing game, and the 6-foot-6 guard is now being featured in San Antonio's starting lineup.

On Saturday night, the Spurs (9-8) hosted the Golden State Warriors (12-4) at Frost Bank Center, looking to notch their third consecutive win. In the final minute, the Warriors were trailing the Spurs by eight points. The ball was inbounded to Steph Curry, who was quickly met by Castle.

Castle picked up Curry defensively, contesting him down the length of the court. He forced Curry to pass instead of taking a 3-pointer to cut the lead and continued to deny the two-time MVP the ball. This led the Warriors to settle for a contested 3-pointer from Buddy Hield, which missed, giving a 104-94 win to the Spurs. He limited Curry to 14 points on 5-of-16 shooting with three turnovers.

Castle's mom, Quannette, showed support for her son by tweeting:

"Go Spurs GO."
