Steve Kerr reveals Steph Curry's potential return date amid injury battle

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr has shared an update on Steph Curry's hamstring injury. Curry has not played since Game 1 of the Warriors' second-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves after suffering a Grade 1 hamstring strain.

Before Game 5 on Wednesday, Kerr was asked about Curry, who was scheduled to get re-evaluated that day. He was earlier ruled out of Game 5, with Golden State down 3-1.

Kerr said Curry had a chance to suit up in Game 6.

"It’s a possibility he could play," Kerr said, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Steph Curry suffered the injury in the second quarter of Game 1. He played just 13 minutes before walking off and being ruled out for the rest of the contest. He was then diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain, with the Golden State Warriors ruling him out for a week.

Curry was re-evaluated on Wednesday, but wasn't cleared to return. He is scheduled for another evaluation on Saturday.

Curry has been working with the Golden State Warriors' director of sports medicine and performance, Rick Celebrini, to try and get fully healthy.

Speaking after Game 4, Draymond Green explained that the two-time NBA MVP has been busy working out and doing around eight to nine hours in the gym.

"As far as Steph, he’s working his tail off every day," Green said, according to NBC Sports Bay Area. "You know, he’s in here eight, nine hours a day, working, doing what he can to try to get back. So, you know, his morale is great. Obviously, nobody’s excited right now, but he’s working to get back. That’s all you can do it at this point."

Curry is 37 years old, so the Warriors are being cautious with his injury.
