Steven Adams savagely roasts troll who claims he saw him with adult worker

This week, Houston Rockets big man Steven Adams went viral after posting a photo of his new pad ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season. While Adams owns a farm in New Zealand, his setup in Houston appears to be much simpler, with the NBA vet showing fans an empty room with only a bed.

On the heels of his viral post, Adams took some time to troll one social media user. In a post on X, the fan-favorite responded to a fan who alleged that he saw Adams at CVS in Echo Park in Los Angeles with an escort. As the user alleged, Adams was buying protection at the time.

"One time I saw Steven Adams at the CVS on sunset in echo park with a hooker and he was buying condoms"

In response, Adams replied, roasting the troll for the post, which many fans believed to be fake given that Adams only plays road games in LA, writing:

"I was with your mum that day. Had to be safe"

Looking at Steven Adams' health ahead of 2024-25 season after he missed entire 2023-24 season

In the second half of the 2022-23 NBA season, Steven Adams suffered a PCL sprain that initially was believed to be relatively minor. At the time, the Grizzlies announced that he would be sidelined for just 3-5 weeks. However, in March, he then underwent a stem cell injection that would keep him sidelined for another month.

Ultimately, the injury wound up ending Adams' season, hampering the Grizzlies for the NBA Playoffs as they struggled to keep up with the LA Lakers. While the expectation was that Adams would then be good to go for the 2023-24 season, his progress hit a plateau, forcing the former OKC Thunder standout to undergo surgery.

As a result, Adams wound up missing the entirety of the 2023-24 NBA season, during which time he was traded to the Houston Rockets. As we head into the 2024-25 season, however, the latest reports out of Houston regarding Adams' recovery are optimistic.

Houston GM Rafael Stone spoke about the situation with media members, as relayed by USA Today's Rockets Wire:

"Steven, he's been going through his own process, and we’ve had him in the gym with us recently, so he’s looking good. Tari, same thing. Ramp up is there ... but what we’ve seen, the progress has been great.

While it's unclear whether or not Adams will be ready to go for the start of the preseason on Oct. 7, it sounds as though things are moving in a positive direction. Adams is expected to play during the regular season.
