"Still doing it at 45": Anthony Davis' hilarious response to LeBron James' fourth quarter masterclass vs Germany

Anthony Davis had a hilarious response to LeBron James' fourth-quarter effort that fueled Team USA's victory against Germany in an exhibition game ahead of the 2024 Olympics.

The 39-year-old LA Lakers superstar was key in Team USA's fourth-quarter fightback, going on a rampage in the final four minutes for 11 points.

"LeBron Raymone James. He's still doing it at 45," Davis said.

The elite Team USA team faced a stern challenge as Germany led 71-68 at the end of the third quarter. James took over as he sank a 3-pointer with a minute and 26 seconds left to help USA take a 90-86 lead and added two more points to build the lead to 92-86. Aiding him was Joel Embiid with 15 points and Steph Curry with 13. LeBron James ended his evening with 20 points.

LeBron James believes it was good for Team USA to see some "adversity" ahead of Olympic gold aspirations

Team USA's 5-0 showcase game run was not easy as they faced consecutive scares — against South Sudan and Germany.

After the game, LeBron James spoke to his teammates and made it clear that they would be a better unit because of these tough contests and that they would be able to withstand these challenges in the Olympics.

"Great f–king job to close out the preliminary games. We saw some adversity, which is f***ing good. We been down two games in a row, and that's gonna be good for us," James said.

Team USA has been missing a key cog in Kevin Durant, who sat out all five games while rehabbing from a calf strain. According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, Team USA officials are "privately optimistic" that the Phoenix Suns star will be able to play in the Olympics.

The actual challenge for LeBron James and Team USA starts on July 28 when they take on Nikola Jokic's Serbia. They may have got the better of Serbia in the showcase games, but with the Olympics challenge being a different beast altogether, it will be interesting to see how one of the more decorated teams fare in the marquee event.
