"We love to see it! Day 1," Sydel captioned the post.

Steph dropped a near triple-double in his season debut, tallying 17 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists. He also added two steals. Meanwhile, Damion didn't see the floor in the Suns' season opener. The veteran guard is coming off a career-threatening knee injury.

He spent all of last season recovering from a right meniscus injury he suffered in preseason workouts before the 2023 training camp. Damion was probable to play against the Clippers because of a hamstring injury.

He was cleared before the game, but the Suns may have taken precautions by keeping him on the bench.

Damion Lee will hope to play his first official game soon after a troublesome injury-riddled year. He was one of the key contributors when healthy for the Suns in 2022-23, playing 20.4 minutes per contest in 74 games, including five starts, averaging 8.2 ppg and 3.0 rpg on 44.5% 3-point shooting.

Damion Lee thanked his wife Sydel Curry Lee for her support during his battle with depression

Damion Lee didn't play in the Suns' season opener, but Sydel Curry Lee was excited to see his team win. Damion's injury-riddled year saw him battle depression as his career could have ended. However, he escaped that mental block and positioned himself to return to on-court action.

A slight hamstring issue potentially kept him out of the season opener, but he played during the preseason. During Media Day, Damion thanked his wife Sydel and loved ones for helping him through last year.

“Just didn’t know if I was going to be the same person again, let alone the same player. … I gotta give credit to God, my family, my wife, my kids, my mom, my support system,” Damion said.

Damion Lee said he went to therapy after getting surgery on his knee and cited his family as one of the reasons that opened his mind to do so.

“Now, it’s bigger than me,” Damion said. “I got a wife, I got two kids. I can’t afford to not be in the right spaces, not be good, because there’s other people that are counting on me.”

The 32-year-old also received a wholesome message from his wife, Sydel Curry Lee, through an Instagram post after he stepped on the court for the first time in 17 minutes during the Suns' preseason game against the Lakers on Oct. 6.
