Team Greece Men's Basketball 2024 Paris Olympics: Full roster, schedule and more

With their win over Croatia, the Greece men's basketball team has clinched their place in the 2024 Paris Olympics. With Olympic action set to begin on Jul. 27, teams worldwide are making final roster adjustments in hopes of making a deep run at Olympic gold.

In the case of the Ethniki, the Greece men's basketball team, the group will be riding the momentum of their recent Olympic Qualifying Tournament win into the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Looking at the Greece men's basketball schedule for the 2024 Paris Group Phase games, and the notable absence of Kostas Sloukas

As previously mentioned, the Greece men's basketball team recently qualified for the Olympics after a big win over Slovenia. Since the start of summer, the Greece men's basketball team has yet to lose.

The team went undefeated in their three international friendly games before then rattling off four wins to clinch their first Olympic berth since 2008. When the Olympic games start, the Ethniki will play Team Canada on opening day (Jul. 27), who finished third in the FIBA World Cup last summer.

They will then return to action several days later on Jul. 30, where they will compete against Team Spain who are looking to come out strong in the Olympics after failing to medal in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Last, but certainly not least, the Ethniki will play Australia on Aug. 2 in their final Group Phase game.

This year, despite clinching their first Olympic basketball berth since 2008, the team will notably be without Hellenic legend Kostas Sloukas, who is recovering from an injury. After winning the EuroLeague with Panathinaikos back in May.

While the four-time EuroLeague champion, and reigning EuroLeague Final Four MVP should be ready to play for the Olympics, he has made it clear that he has no intentions of stepping in and taking the spot of a player who competed for the Ethniki during the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
