Team USA star Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend Jade Jones strikes a pose at Burj Khalifa as beau continues Paris Olympics prepsĀ
This summer, Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend, Jade Jones, will be supporting her partner as he competes for Team USA for the second straight summer. She recently used this as an opportunity to check out one of the world's biggest landmarks.
After facing off against Canada and Las Vegas, Haliburton and Team USA traveled to Abu Dhabi for a series of showcase games. They'll play their final game there on Wednesday afternoon before heading to the United Kingdom.
While in Abu Dhabi, Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend decided to check out one of the area's major attractions. Jones posted a photo on her Instagram story of her at the Burj Khalifa.
The Burj Khalifa is located in Dubai and is known for being the tallest skyscraper in the world. It has held this title for nearly 15 years now. The Burj Khalifa currently stands at just over 2,700 feet tall.
The building took over five years to build and got its name from a former United Arab Emirates president. It can be found in Dubai's downtown area.
As for Haliburton and Jones, they have been in each other's lives since 2019. Their romantic relationship began at Iowa State, where the two attended college.
Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend has been in attendance for all of Team USA's showcase games
Seeing that she's posting photos in Dubai, it's clear that Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend made the trip with him to Abu Dhabi. These are not the first games she has been around to cheer on the Indiana Pacers star.
As mentioned previously, Team USA began their Olympic ramp-up in Las Vegas in a matchup with Canada. Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend was also in the stands then, posting multiple photos on her Instagram story. Based on the fact that she's been around for every showcase game, it's fair to assume Jade Jones will also be in Paris for the Olympics.
Last summer, Haliburton was a key contributor for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup. However, with so many NBA superstars opting to play in the Olympics, he's had to take on a lesser role.
In the first showcase game against Canada, Haliburton finished with two points, four rebounds, six assists and four steals in 20 minutes of action. He played even less against Australia (18 minutes), and recorded six points, one rebound and four assists.
With elite playmakers like Steph Curry and LeBron James on the roster, Haliburton is going to have a tough time seeing extended minutes. That said, he's in a position to learn from some all-time greats and win a gold medal in the process.
