"Tell Rob to sign Snoop for a vet minimum" - Lakers fans hype up Snoop Dogg after his basketball skills go viral on Kai Cenat's stream
Snoop Dogg is one of the most prominent fans in the Los Angeles Lakers fanbase, dating back to Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant's three-peat. He is frequently seen sitting courtside but has given fans an inside look at his own on-court talent numerous times throughout the years.
On popular livestreamer Kai Cenat's stream on Tuesday night, Snoop Dogg gave fans another viral basketball highlight.
Snoop Dogg threw the basketball off the wall underhand, making the shot as he smiled at the camera. The clip went viral, with fans campaigning for Snoop Dogg to get a roster spot on the Lakers.
"Yep snoop is coming off the bench next game," a fan commented.
"Someone tell (Rob Pelinka) to sign Snoop for a vet minimum," another fan added.
"Get Snoop in a jersey TOMORROW," a third fan exclaimed.
Other fans called for Snoop Dogg to replace struggling Lakers players.
"Give him them Gabe Vincent minutes ASAP," one fan humorously posted.
"Sign him NOW goodbye (D'Angelo Russell)," another fan commented, taking a jab at the Lakers guard.
"Better than (Jalen Hood-Schifino) for sure," a third fan added.
Snoop Dogg nicknames Lakers rookie
Back on October 18, Snoop Dogg made an appearance on ESPN's First Take to discuss the Los Angeles Lakers. He was asked to give his thoughts on the Lakers ahead of their season opener.
"The Lakers are on a mission. We've got everything that we need. Everybody's back. It seems like everybody's healthy."
Snoop Dogg also discussed Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht, whom he dubbed with a new nickname on the show.
"His new name is 'Westside'. So 'Westside Knecht,' put that money up. Please recognize game when it's in your face," Snoop Dogg said laughingly.
Knecht responded to Snoop Dogg's new nickname, ultimately leaving it up to Lakers fans to decide between 'Westside Knecht' and 'Knecht 4'.
"I did my poll; it was like 78-22. 'Knecht 4' won. So, I guess 'Knecht 4' is the one, but Snoop Dogg can call me 'Westside'.
Fans overwhelmingly chose 'Knecht 4' as their favorite name in the poll, with 78% of the votes, compared to Snoop Dogg's 'Westside', which received just 22%.
