Tennis star Coco Gauff drops 2-word reaction to Vince Carter's daughter's emotional HOF tribute
NBA legend Vince Carter reached basketball immortality when he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Oct. 13. Carter achieved so much over his 22-year NBA career, which earned him a ticket to becoming a Hall of Famer.
The NBA legend was inducted with other former basketball greats like Chauncey Billups, Michael Cooper, Walter Davis, and Charles Smith.
On Wednesday, more than a week after Carter's enshrinement, his daughter Kai shared a heartfelt tribute to him on Instagram.
"Proud is an understatement. Watching my dad get inducted into the Naismith NBA Hall of Fame is a moment that my siblings and I will treasure forever. It’s not just about the incredible career and the countless hours of hard work and dedication, but about the legacy of passion, perseverance, and love for the game that he’s passed down to us," Kai posted.
"Being there to witness this moment was a blessing beyond words. Thank you for showing us what it means to dream big and chase greatness. I love you, Hall of Famer!"
Tennis star Coco Gauff saw the post from Kai and left a two-word reaction.
"❤️❤️ love this!" Gauff wrote.
In his career, Carter was an eight-time All-Star, Rookie of the Year, and a two-time All-NBA selection. He was also the 2000 Slam Dunk champion and was known for his high-flying plays.

Vince Carter has joined Sportsnet broadcast for select games
Raptors fans will get to experience Vinsanity during the 2024-25 NBA season. Vince Carter will appear in Sportsnet’s broadcast for the Toronto team in select games. Carter will join the broadcast team in the season opener with Matt Devlin and former teammate Alvin Williams.
The Canada-based team will have its season opener on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
"I am thrilled to be a part of the Sportsnet family for select games during the 2024-25 season. My NBA roots started with the Raptors and the relationships I forged with former teammates like Alvin Williams. It is humbling to have the opportunity to come back — I am truly looking forward to being a part of the broadcasts," Carter said in a press release.
The Raptors will pay tribute to their former star this season. The organization will hold a jersey retirement ceremony for Carter, lifting his No. 15 jersey number to the rafters on Nov. 2 against the Sacramento Kings.
