"That's fire" - Paul George psyched over Trae Young’s celebration suggestion

Paul George has been having a hard time getting his own celebration throughout his career. George might have one of the best nicknames in the NBA with "PG-13," but he doesn't have a trademark celebration. Trae Young recently made a suggestion that might fit with the Philadelphia 76ers star.

On the recent episode of "Podcast P," George and Young were discussing the Atlanta Hawks star's "cold" celebration. The Sixers swingman then admitted that he was having a hard time coming up with a nice celly before "Ice Trae" offered him a good one. (Start at 1:00:03)

"I just thought of one, bro. You got your P's, right? You hit a three, bro and just throw your P's up. Podcast P, you know what I'm saying? Come on, bro," Young said.
"That's fire!" George responded.
"I'm gonna send an invoice after the first time (you use it)," Young joked.

Paul George admitted that he might forget the suggestion but he'll take it under consideration. George will be playing his first season with the Philadelphia 76ers, so he's going to need to endear himself to the fanbase and a great celebration comes a long way.

"I really be like in the house trying like, 'All right. What is a celebration for me?' Nothing comes to mind you. I feel like now if I think of something and try to do it, it's like, 'All right. I'm trying too hard. It's not natural.' No more, bro," George said.

Paul George is back in the Eastern Conference after signing a four-year, $212 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. George will be teaming up with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

The new trio will try to get the Sixers over the hump in a suddenly competitive East with teams such as the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers retooling.

Former NBA player helped recruit Paul George to Philadelphia

In a recent episode of the "#thisleague" by NBA insiders Marc Stein and Chris Haynes, former NBA player Quincy Pondexter explained his role in the Paul George free agency saga. Pondexter called Joel Embiid and told him to recruit the then-LA Clippers star.

"Joel is one of my best friends and so how Joel got Paul’s number to start trying to pitch it to him was through me. I don't even know how much the Sixers know this, but, quietly, one of the biggest, I hate to say this, one of the biggest pieces in that was me being like, 'Yo, Joel, you got to keep recruiting him. You got to try to get him.' ...
"This was like 10 days, eight days before free agency. And I was like 'Bro, you have a great chance. Keep going.' And this all happened, man," Pondexter said. [H/T Liberty Ballers]

Pondexter played eight seasons in the NBA for four teams, but his career was cut short due to injuries. He and Embiid shared an agent, who suggested Embiid talk to Pondexter about recovering from a navicular bone injury. Pondexter did just that, and the two have been close friends ever since.

Paul George, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey are set to form a really good trio under head coach Nick Nurse. It's a huge gamble for the Philadelphia 76ers considering George's age and Embiid's injury history. Nevertheless, things will be interesting heading into the next season.
