"That's the plan" - Steph Curry clears air after deleting Warriors from his IG profile

Golden State Warriors fans were worried about Steph Curry when they noticed he removed the team name from his Instagram bio. Luckily, 'Chef' explained the situation during an interview with The Circuit host Emily Chang.

The Warriors star updated his profile following his gold medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Curry replaced the "And, oh yeah, Guard for the @Warriors" bio with "And... Olympic Gold Medalist". At the time, rumors of Curry teaming with LeBron in LA swirled. Most fans worried about their cornerstone's future with the organization.

Steph revealed that he was simply proud of his gold medal win. It was Curry's first—and probably only—Olympic gold medal.

"I was just proud to be an Olympian!" Curry explained.

Chang told the four-time champion he'd be with the organization forever. Curry answered:

"That's the plan."

Curry seems locked in with the Warriors. After all, he's spent his pro career with the franchise. Leaving to join another team could damage his legacy.

Golden State selected him seventh overall in the 2009 NBA Draft. Over a decade later, Curry has helped the once-overlooked Warriors reach dynasty status. If he finishes with the organization, his NBA journey will gain a storybook ending.

Steph Curry showed his commitment with his recent contract extension

Warriors fans can rejoice as Steph Curry has agreed to a contract extension. Although it's not a long-term deal, it's a sign Curry might retire with Golden State. The two-time MVP recently signed a one-year contract extension worth $63 million.

Curry inked a four-year, $215 million contract extension three years before his most recent deal. Since then, the star has averaged 27.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists.
