"There's something with that friendship" - Joe Budden claims LeBron James-Drake's 'passive-aggressive' beef has escaped fans' attention

Given that Drake and LeBron James are close friends, a large number of individuals are aware of their bond. Over the years, the two have hung out together, with the Canadian rapper attending certain games and the LA Lakers star attending concerts. However, American media personality Joe Budden believes the two have developed a "passive-aggressive beef" recently.

It all started when Drake got involved in a rap beef with multi-Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar. The two exchanged songs dissing each other and Lamar's final blow became a hit diss track "Not Like Us."

The song took over the music scene and even other celebrities showed love to the Compton artist and his song about Drake. Lamar had a one-time concert that happened on Juneteenth called "The Pop Out: Ken & Friends." During the event, celebrities and other NBA stars like Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan were in attendance.

Fans also spotted James in the crowd, who had his wife Savannah with him. As expected, Lamar performed the hit diss track during the concert and the Lakers star was seen having a grand time. According to Daniels, this started the damage in their relationship, which has somehow escaped fans' attention.

In a clip from "The Joe Budden Podcast," Joe Budden discusses the beef between the two superstars.

"The passive-aggressive LeBron-Drake beef is interesting to me," Budden started "I know nobody's paying attention to it but it is a real thing . It's happening ... It might not be too many people paying attention to this but there's something with that friendship"

LeBron James still has love for Drake

Amid all the rumors about LeBron James beefing with the artist behind "Started From the Bottom," the NBA star still showed him some love on social media. James is currently representing Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

He posted a photo of Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” Air Force 1 on his Instagram Story on Monday. The four-time champion also put an infinity emoji on his post.

James' post could be a cryptic hint that despite attending Lamar's concert, all's well between him and Drake.
