"They admiring the aura", "Steph in LOVE with that man": Fans go wild over picture of Steph Curry and USA stars observing LeBron James in practice
LeBron James undeniably is among the biggest, if not the biggest, draws in Team USA. So much so, that even his superstar teammates like Steph Curry could not help but admire his ways. A picture of "King James" practicing his jump shot in one of the team's practice sessions ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics caught Curry, Anthony Edwards and Jrue Holiday checking out his form.
Fans did not waste time in making their thoughts known on the image.
Here are some of the reactions from fans on X/Twitter:
"They admiring the aura," one fan said.
Another X user highlighted Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry's reaction, saying:
"Steph in LOVE with that man."
"They're in love," another fan highlighted.
Some comments, meanwhile, underscored that the image was further testament to the legacy that LeBron James has built:
"It's because Curry respects the greatness LeBron has displayed for 21 seasons," one fan suggested.
"The goatiest of all goats," another chimed in.
"Steph looking at the only guy with more aura than him," another fan said.
LeBron James and Team USA are currently on the homestretch of their tune-up games before they plunge into action at the 2024 Paris Olympics beginning later this month. They were last in action on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi, UAE, defeating Nikola Jokic and Serbia 105-79.
LeBron James says Team USA has to put in the work to win gold
Unlike in the past where Team USA could often dominate the competition in an instant, LeBron James believes such days are no longer the case. The four-time NBA champion asserted that for them to emerge on top, all involved must put in the work and give their fair share of sacrifices.
The LA Lakers superstar said (via Bleacher Report):
"We have so many great players but we all have to make sacrifices. None of us are looking forward to going out and trying to carry the team like we sometimes have to do for our respective franchises.
"We want to play for each other. There's 11 other guys beside me that I want to play for and vice versa. Our only goal is to win a gold medal for Team USA," he added.
With LeBron James in the Team USA roster are his Lakers teammate Anthony Davis, Steph Curry (Golden State), Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White (Boston), Joel Embiid (Philadelphia), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana), Bam Adebayo (Miami) and Kevin Durant and Devin Booker (Phoenix).
Team USA will begin its Olympic campaign in Group C, joined by South Sudan, Serbia and Puerto Rico. Their opening game is on July 28 against South Sudan.
