"They gon' say I'm looking washed"- Kevin Durant hilariously reacts to Kay Adams' Ja Morant 360 layup request

Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant admired Ja Morant's incredibly athletic 360 layup moves from Monday's game between the Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets, but joked that attempting the same move himself would just make him look "washed."

Appearing on Kay Adams' "Up and Adams Show," Durant shared his appreciation for the play and was generous in his praise of Morant's athleticism.

“My goodness, my goodness. The most athletic person I've seen,” he said as he watched replays of Morant’s highlight plays.

When Adams jokingly encouraged Durant to replicate those moves in a game, the two-time NBA champion humorously declined.

“That's when I’ll start looking crazy and I’ll start looking washed,” Durant said. “When I try stuff like that, they gon’ say, I'm looking washed. So I'm gonna stay away from that. I'm gonna just pull up for the mid-range.”

Adams then pointed out that the Suns star usually doesn't worry about others' opinions, to which he replied:

“I mean, if it's kind of true, you know what I'm saying? Like if I try to pull off a 360 layup and again, I just [would] I look trash doing it.”

According to the NBA. clips of Morant’s two layups had generated 161 million views as of Tuesday afternoon, making them the most-viewed clips in the league this season.
