"They treating Bronny like a 2k12 MyCareer storyline" - NBA fans react to Bronny James' draft stock jumping 44 spots after combine workout

Bronny James was one of the biggest stories of the NBA draft combine. With several 2024 NBA draft prospects entering the combine, LA Lakers' star LeBron James’ son had the most media attention. Moreover, one of the biggest storylines of the event was his draft stock.

Before entering the combine, Bronny was ranked 98th among the top 100 draft prospects for the upcoming draft. However, according to the latest reports, he is now ranked 54 in the top 100 prospects.

The NBA update on ESPN on X (formerly Twitter) had fans buzzing. Alluding to the fact that Bronny James was the son of an NBA superstar, some fans said he was getting special treatment. Moreover, a few fans also pointed out the extra media attention that Bronny has been getting since he entered the combine.

Bronny James wants to make a name for himself

LeBron James had previously said he wanted to play with his son in the NBA before he retires.

Since then, there have been reports of several teams showing interest in recruiting Bronny James to lure the four-time NBA champion to their city. However, recently, LeBron James made it clear that he wants to share the court with his son and not necessarily be on the same team.

After his stint in the NBA combine, Bronny spoke to the reporters.

"My dream has always just been to put my name out, make a name for myself, and of course get to the NBA, which is everyone's angle in here," Bronny said. "I never thought about just playing with my dad, but of course, he's brought it up a couple times."

According to reports, the Dallas Mavericks and the Lakers are the frontrunners in acquiring Bronny James in the draft. However, the move is largely to lure LeBron James ahead of the free agency this offseason.
