"Time is a thief": Damian Lillard's ex-wife Kay'la lights up Instagram with overwhelming love as twins turn 4
Damian Lillard and Kay'la Hanson's twin children, Kalii Laheem Lillard and Kali Emma Lee Lillard, turned four on Tuesday. Hanson lighted up her social media posts with dozens of pictures of her twin children.
Almost all the snaps of Kalii and Kali on her Instagram story consisted of childhood pictures. Her bittersweet emotion was apparent in the caption of one of the posts that Hanson made. She posted a wholesome picture of Kalii and Kali, who were just a few days old, in a baby basket.
"The twins are 4 today!!! Time is a thief!! I must have blinked ๐ฉ๐๐๐พ," she wrote in the caption.
She posted another adorable picture of her twins, with Kali holding Kalii.
In one of her previous posts, she also shared a photo of the brother-sister duo holding hands as they walked in the park in matching attire.
One of the pictures Hanson posted showed Kali and Kalii sitting beside each other, clueless, wearing a dress inspired by Dr. Seuss's "The Cat in the Hat."
She also posted a hilarious picture from the 2021 Halloween with Damian Jr. in the frame.
Damian Lillard and Kay'la Hanson share three children. Damian Jr. was born in March 2018, while Kalii and Kali were born in 2021.

Damian Lillard also made a social media post dedicated to his twin children's birthday. The father of three posted a series of pictures of his children on his Instagram post. A video also showed Kalii playing basketball on a padded floor. Another picture in the post had Lillard fixing Kali's tablet inside a plane while the other two were focused on playing their games.
Lillard and Kay'la Hanson had been together since they were in college at Weber State. However, their marriage came to an end in October 2023, when the Bucks star filed for a divorce, just a few days before he was traded to the Bucks.
In an interview with Yahoo Sports in February 2024, Lillard said that it had been the most difficult transition in his life.
"As much as I love basketball, and I love my job, I don't care about it more than I care about my kids. Of course you carry it with you," Lillard said. "People say, 'When I hoop I ainโt thinking about nothing,' but Iโm not 21. I got three kids. Iโm tight with my family and Iโm going through a divorce."
Lillard has previously opened up about feeling lonely and missing his children in Milwaukee.
