“To my haters I love y’all too” - Paul Pierce breaks silence amid gruesome finger injury scare

Paul Pierce’s gruesome finger injury and subsequent Instagram stories about it left many worried about his well-being. The Boston Celtics legend posted a series of images on Instagram where he can be seen on a hospital bed with a gown. Pierce posted multiple photos of a bloodied and displaced finger, revealing that while the pictures looked bad, he was not in any serious trouble.

Regardless, the prospective surgery appears to have now been concluded, and Pierce is already feeling better enough to post an update for his fans. On Twitter, the 2008 NBA Champion wrote the following:

“I’m Good surgery went well looks worse then felt I appreciate the concern and love and to my haters I love yall too.”

The former star had apparently dropped a weight on his hand, which led to the injury in the first place. Pierce thanked fans and well-wishers who were understandably concerned.

Paul Pierce believes LeBron James might want to go to the Cleveland Cavaliers

Being a Celtics legend, the player joked that he would not think twice if offered the Lakers job for $20 million. Speaking to former teammate Kevin Garnett on KG Certified, he recently claimed that ‘everybody has got a price’:

"What time is practice?" Pierce asked when Garnett wondered if he'd get $20 million to coach the Lakers. "What time is the coaches' meeting? Hey, everybody got a price," Pierce said.

Pierce also believes that joining the Lakers does not necessarily mean he will get to coach LeBron James next season. With Bronny James set to join the NBA, Pierce recently claimed that a final homecoming to Cleveland might be on the cards, alongside his son:

"If they flame out and lose in the play in, I would consider, if I was LeBron, being traded back to Cleveland for Donovan Mitchell. Donovan Mitchell doesn't want to be there. Cause we're not seeing signs of him wanting to re-sign," Pierce said.

However, the Celtics legend thinks that much of the decision will revolve around what the Lakers do in the offseason. A potential final season for the Cavaliers makes a lot of nostalgic sense for the King.
