Trae Young's wife Shelby Miller has a 4-word quip at Hawks creative post following iconic celly
Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, who also goes by the nickname "Ice Trae," put on a special performance to take down the LA Lakers on Friday night. In a closely contested game, the sharpshooter drilled a clutch 3-pointer in overtime to give his team a 134-132 lead with seconds left on the clock. Young followed up his remarkable game-winning shot with his iconic "ice cold" celebration.
Following Friday's memorable win at State Farm Arena, Young's wife Shelby Miller shared a creative social media post from the Hawks' social media team. The post showed a weather map of Georgia with the low temperatures around the state and included Young's face over Atlanta. Miller added a clever four-word quip when she shared the post on her Instagram story.
"Stay warm out there," wrote Miller followed by the ice emoji.
The Hawks' team had originally captioned the Instagram post with the following message:
"No surprise here, it's freezing 😏❄️."
Trae Young is known for his famous "ice cold" celebration, which he usually drops on opponents after a big shot. Young will grab and rub both his arms as if to signal that he is cold as he runs back down the court.
During an episode of "Podcast P with Paul George" in August, Young said he remembers being in his basement with his friend when they came up with the idea for the celebration.
Young is currently in his seventh season in the NBA and continues to put up big numbers. The three-time All-Star leads the Hawks roster in points (21.2) and assists (12.3) over the first 24 games of the season.
Young and Miller first met in 2017 when they were both students attending the University of Oklahoma. The relationship blossomed over the next few years with the couple getting engaged in December 2021 and then married in July 2023.

When Young turned 26 years old on Sep. 19, Miller posted a heartwarming message on her Instagram account praising her husband for his qualities as a father.
"Another year celebrating you and it’ll never be enough! Happy birthday to the best dada and husband, we love you and lucky you are ours 🤍🎂♾️," wrote Miller.
The collection of photos shows Young spending quality time with Miller, Tydus Reign and Teal Dove over the last year, and it will surely be a treasured post for the proud father.
