Trinity Rodman appears bemused when asked about dad Dennis' reaction to scoring first Olympics goal: "My mom was there"
Trinity Rodman is a rising soccer star, and although a lot of people know her because of her father, Dennis Rodman, she is carving an identity of her own. In an interview on the "Today" show, Trinity was asked about her first goal at the 2024 Paris Olympics as the U.S. women's national team beat Zambia 3-0 in the opening game on Wednesday.
During the interview, Trinity Rodman explained her feelings when she scored the goal in the 17th minute of the game and also broke down the play as it rolled in front of her on a screen. However, the interviewer asked the Washington Spirit forward if her dad had called and appreciated her.
"Nope, but my mom was there," Trinity replied.
She revealed that her mother, Michelle Moyer, was present at the stadium in Nice and appreciated her with a warm hug.
The former Chicago Bulls star admitted not being a good father to Trinity, as Michelle reportedly had to raise her kids alone without much input or support from Dennis.

While some fans criticized the interview for asking that question, others remarked that Trinity could not get away from these questions even if she wanted to.
"Yeah. Her dad is an NBA HOFer. What do you expect?" @sleepymas415 said.
"She’s the daughter of a very famous athlete, she will keep getting asked this every time she encounters a new reporter. Unless you know her story, she can’t get away from it while having his last name…."
Trinity Rodman and USWNT's next game at the 2024 Paris Olympics will be against Germany on Sunday, with kickoff at 3 p.m. ET.
