Tyrese Haliburton picks Team USA teammate and 4x Champion as player with hyper-specific skill

This summer, Tyrese Haliburton got to join the star-studded roster for Team USA in the 2024 Olympics. Now back from his adventure in Paris, the rising star gave a very specific shoutout to one of his teammates from the Summer Games.

Earlier this week, a post on X (formerly Twitter) posed a question about players who are good at an oddly specific skill. Among those to chime in on this trend was the All-Star point guard.

At first, Tyrese Haliburton named two of his Indiana Pacers teammates. However, he then brought up Steph Curry. Haliburton feels the Golden State Warriors star is oddly good at subbing into games at the end of a quarter.

Haliburton got to spend a lot of time with Curry behind the scenes, but the two guards didn't share much playing time together. While most of the light was shined on Jayson Tatum, the Pacers star certainly played the least of any player on Team USA.

In the 2024 Olympics, Haliburton logged a total of 26 minutes and only appeared in three of the United States' six games. He finished the tournament with averages of 2.7 points and 0.7 assists.

Tyrese Haliburton gets caught up in WNBA action while sitting courtside

Since returning from Paris, Tyrese Haliburton is making the most of his downtime before ramping up for the NBA season. Over the weekend, he and Pacers teammate Obi Toppin decided to catch a WNBA game in person.

Over the weekend, Haliburton and Toppin were courtside for the Indiana Fever's matchup with the Seattle Storm. Along with catching another dominant Caitlin Clark outing, they got to watch a breakout showing from one Fever player.

The big story of Indiana's win over the Storm was the play of Lexie Hull. She came alive off the bench en route to 22 points. Most of her damage was done from beyond the arc, where she shot 6-for-7.

Among those who got caught up in Hull's three-point barrage was Tyrese Haliburton. He and Toppin were seen losing their minds as the Fever guard caught fire from deep.

As for Clark, she finished Sunday's win with 23 points, five rebounds and nine assists. In this outing, the rookie phenom broke a pair of records. First, she set a new WNBA record for most assists in a season by a rookie. Later on, she broke the Fever record for most threes in a season by a rookie.

After the game, Haliburton linked up with Clark for a brief moment after what was a historic night for her.
