Tyrese Haliburton's GF Jade Jones has emotional reaction to Pacers star's tribute post for his mom
Tyrese Haliburton had a surprise for his mother, Brenda Haliburton, and shared it on his official Instagram account. Haliburton's girlfriend, Jade Jones, reacted to the emotional tribute and showed support for the Indiana Pacers star.
On his IG post, Tyrese revealed that he will be closing in on the house he bought her mother. It was one of his biggest dreams and he is very happy about giving it to Brenda, who has been there for him since Day 1.
"Today, we're gonna close my mom's house. I've been dreaming my whole life to give my mom a house. I've always wanted to be in a position to take care of my mom, my parents and my family. Coming together, we agreed and she's so excited. I can only imagine how happy she's gonna be at the end of the day," Tyrese said.
Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend, Jade Jones, was one of many who commented on his post on Instagram. Jones responded with a set of teary-eyed emojis and a heart-hand emoji.
Who are Tyrese Haliburton's parents?
Tyrese Haliburton was born on February 29, 2000, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It's a city about an hour and a half away from Milwaukee. Haliburton's parents are John and Brenda Haliburton. John was a referee and Tyrese's first-ever coach in basketball.
Brenda, on the other hand, has always been supportive of Tyrese's dream of becoming a basketball player. She has never missed a game in his son's career except during his freshman season at Iowa State, when her flight got delayed.
The parents have always had Tyrese's back starting when he was a three-star high school prospect for Oshkosh North. He then spent two seasons with the Cyclones in college before getting drafted 12th overall by the Sacramento Kings in 2020.
His career was off to a promising start in Sacramento before getting traded to the Indiana Pacers midway through his second season in the league.
He was the main prospect acquired by Indiana for All-Star center Domantas Sabonis. He has turned into a two-time All-Star with the Pacers and a one-time Olympic gold medalist.
Tyrese Haliburton signed a five-year, $260 million rookie contract extension last year. He did lose out on a big bonus after missing a chunk of games last season, but that's still a lot of money.
Haliburton is heading into his fifth season as one of the best point guards in the NBA. He is surrounded by top teammates such as Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner. His parents are also expected to be present at his games and continue to support their son.
