Tyrese Maxey sends love to Myra Gordon as she pens emotional message mourning the loss of grandfather
Tyrese Maxey and Myra Gordon, who spent time vacationing together in Mexico, continue to support each other on social media. The Philadelphia 76ers star has started training camp with his team. Gordon recently shared a heartfelt message following the death of her grandfather.
Gordon wrote about the impact of his granddad on her and about missing him every day “until we meet again.” She added how “lucky” she was about her relationship with him. The licensed realtor called it “one of the greatest honors” to be his granddaughter.
Tyrese Maxey didn’t say anything but reacted with a heart emoji to Myra Gordon’s heartbreaking post.
Maxey and Gordon’s IG exchanges have been going on for weeks. When the former Alabama basketball star shared photos of their time in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, he called her “starfish.” Gordon corrected him by writing “Your starfish.”
When the two appeared on the Philadelphia Eagles’ jumbotron during the team’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, sports fans were intrigued. Gordon was reportedly dating Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young when she went with Maxey to Lincoln Financial Field in Philly to support the Eagles.
Over the weeks following their attendance at the Eagles-Falcons game, Tyrese Maxey and Myra Gordon continue to share stories of themselves on IG. Gordon’s message about her grandfather’s passing was just the latest that Maxey promptly reacted to.
Myra Gordon and her sister, Alexis Gordon, react to Tyrese Maxey’s summer “photo dump”
Tyrese Maxey’s summer ended roughly a week before the Philadelphia 76ers’ media day on Oct. 1. The NBA All-Star had to prepare for the upcoming season as the 76ers hoped to challenge for the championship.
With his offseason over, Maxey went on Instagram to “dump” some photos of his well-spent time off basketball.
Myra Gordon reacted:
“We had a great summer.”
Gordon’s sister, Alexis, did the same:
“Good dump, I approve.”
Some of the photos include Tyrese Maxey signing autographs, supporting his team during the Las Vegas Summer League and lovingly giving Gordon a headband. The collection also showed Maxey training, spending time with friends, playing golf and buying one of his sisters a truck. To cap off the set, he featured his dog and her puppy.
The Philadelphia 76ers will open their preseason in New Zealand for an exhibition game. No one will be surprised, though, if Maxey and Gordon continue actively reacting to each other on Instagram.
