Washington and Chanel tied the knot in Oct. 2023, a year after the Mavericks star proposed to her. The couple shares a son named Preston.

The Dallas Mavericks had a successful run last season, winning the Western Conference title and challenging the Boston Celtics for the Larry O'Brien trophy on the biggest stage in the NBA. Despite the 4-1 loss against the Celtics, the Mavs' season can be considered a stepping stone.

P.J. Washington blended into the squad mid-season after he was acquired through a trade with the Charlotte Hornets. Since his arrival, the former Hornets star proved his worth on the Mavs team. He averaged 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists, having one of the most successful seasons in his career.
