Veteran NBA analyst throws support behind Donald Trump, acknowledges conflicting views: "A natural-born leader"

Veteran NBA analyst Skip Bayless showed his support for Donald Trump ahead of the 2024 presidential election on Tuesday. Bayless admitted that he doesn't agree with some of Trump's views, but he believes in the former president's leadership skills.

Speaking on the latest episode of "The Skip Bayless Show," the former ESPN and Fox Sports analyst endorsed Trump over Kamala Harris. Bayless pointed out that it's better to be "lucky than blessed," alluding the the assassination attempt of the presidential candidate.

"Let me say this about Donald Trump: I do not share many of his views, but I do believe he's a natural-born leader who isn't afraid to make tough decisions," Bayless said. "(He) has been very lucky through his life. See that little scar on his ear as opposed to a hole in his head. I'll go with lucky over blessed because I'm not sure either he or Kamala truly believe in a higher power, truly worship that higher power, truly pray for divine guidance."

The NBA continued its support for the upcoming election by not scheduling any games on Election Day. The league will resume its play on Wednesday when there's a new president of the United States.
