"Walk through the b**ch again": Patrick Beverley weighs in on Dillon Brooks' viral 'camera time' with Devin Booker & Anthony Edwards
Dillon Brooks is representing the Canadian basketball team in the 2024 Paris Olympics and his shenanigans are already on display. After the exhibition game against Team USA, Brooks did something that went viral on the internet.
After the game, when Devin Booker was talking to the press, Brooks walked right in front of the camera instead of going around and not getting in the frame. He didn’t stop there; he did the same thing when Anthony Edwards was talking to the press. Both players gave looks that didn’t appear friendly.
Patrick Beverley, known for frustrating his opponents during the game, didn’t appreciate Brooks' shenanigans. Reacting to the viral video, Beverley said what Brooks did was disrespectful. However, he appreciated both Booker and Edwards for keeping their composure.
“Now what about this MF, walking through the camera time, Dillon Brooks? [Devin Booker] doing an interview, MF walk right through the camera," Beverley said on "The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone."
"Usually, you go behind the camera just out of respect. Anthony Edwards doing interview, he walk through that b**ch again. Ant wanted to say something, nah hold your tongue young fella, don’t say it, don’t give him the energy."
“Man you what that look means … I know what that look means though, you walk through my sh*t the f**k you think this is?” he added.
With Dillon Brooks already setting the stage on fire, the matchup between Canada and Team USA will be one to watch at the Paris Olympics.
Dillon Brooks says Canadian Team is ready to face the USA for gold medal
Dillon Brooks and the Canadian team defeated Team USA in the bronze medal game in the FIBA World Cup. Following the loss, talks of LeBron James trying to recruit players for the Olympics made the news.
Team USA, featuring players like LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, looks far superior to other teams in the Olympics. However, Brooks likes his team’s chances against arguably the best team in the tournament.
“Yeah, because there’s new USA players, you know, that spoke up after (the bronze-medal game), and wanted to play,” Brooks told The Athletic. “So, you know, I’m happy that they’re playing because, you know, we get to test our talents against theirs. And you know, it should be a fun one.”
“Well at the beginning, it was Steph and LeBron that came out and said something, and then everyone else started joining on,” Brooks added. “I’m happy that they made the commitment, so let’s see. Talent against talent.
As per Dillon Brooks, the Canadian team is well-equipped to face any opponent at the Olympics.
