Warriors' Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis pick Steph Curry in their identical Team USA starting five of all-time

Steph Curry made the all-time Team USA starting five of his Golden State Warriors teammates Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis. Curry will be making his Olympics debut for Team USA later this month, while Podziemski and Jackson-Davis are helping them prepare as part of the Select Team.

In a video shared by the Warriors on their official X account, Podziemski and Jackson-Davis were asked to name their all-time starting five for Team USA. The incoming second-year players had identical answers.

  • PG: Steph Curry
  • SG: Michael Jordan
  • SF: Kobe Bryant
  • PF: LeBron James
  • C: Shaquille O'Neal

Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis were not surprised that they both had the same all-time Team USA starting five because they "know ball." Podziemski also pointed out that "great minds think alike."

"I feel like it just makes sense," Podziemski said.
"We got a dominant big. We got a four-man that can play the point and pass the ball. We got the best shooter ever and we got two of best two-way mentalities, two-way players. It's finished," Jackson-Davis said.

Steph Curry's Team USA career so far

As mentioned above, Steph Curry will be making his Olympic debut for Team USA in the upcoming Paris games. Curry was unable to play for the 2016 and 2020 teams due to different circumstances, but Steve Kerr and LeBron James were able to convince him to play this year at the age of 36.

Curry has only represented the United States internationally at the FIBA World Cup, winning in 2010 and 2014. He then exploded as a superstar after those two stints, taking home the NBA MVP in 2015 and 2016, and winning his first NBA title in 2015.

Now, with four NBA championships on his resume, Curry is gunning for the only missing accolade in his Hall of Fame-worthy trophy cabinet.

Steph Curry suffers minor hand injury in practice for Team USA

Golden State Warriors fans had a major scare during Team USA's practice on Sunday when Steph Curry suffered a hand injury. Curry had his hand checked by trainers at some point during the practice, but was able to continue playing. He was shooting fine although he was looking at his hand every time, as per Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area.

The 36-year-old superstar calmed the nerves down after the game when he explained that he had some "blood" on his hands and there was nothing to worry about. Warriors and Team USA head coach Steve Kerr shared the same sentiment in his post-practice interview with reporters.

In addition to Curry, Team USA already put Kevin Durant on the shelf with a minor calf strain. Joel Embiid, Tyrese Haliburton and Kawhi Leonard were all in doubt due to injuries before the team began their training camp in Las Vegas.
