“Was cookin too”- P.J. Washington jauntily confirms playing NBA2K amid Western Conference finals battle

P.J. Washington and the Dallas Mavericks are cooking in the playoffs. Since the trade deadline, Washington has become one of the most crucial parts of the Mavericks roster. But when he is not on the court, he is playing NBA 2K. The Mavs forward also let it be known that he is killing in the game just as much as on the court.

Overtime posted a video of Washington playing NBA2K and captioned the post:

“PJ Washington playing 2K during the playoffs.”

In reply to the post, Washington let the world know that he was cooking in NBA2K too.

“I was cookin too,” Washington replied on the post on X (formerly Twitter).

P.J. Washington and the Mavericks have taken an early 3-0 lead against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference finals. If they sweep the Timberwolves in the series, perhaps Washington can have more time cooking in NBA2K

P.J. Washington's performance will be crucial for Mavericks title hope

P.J. Washington spent four seasons playing for the Charlotte Hornets and was acquired by the Mavericks as a player with no playoff experience. However, little did anyone know that his true potential would come out in the playoffs.

Washington played 29 games with the Dallas Mavericks this season after being traded from the Hornets. During the regular season with the Mavs, he averaged a little over 11 points while shooting 42% from the field and 31% from three.

After the Mavericks entered the playoff, P.J. Washington came out with a completely different look. His aggression on both ends of the floor has been a massive boost for the team. In the first round against the LA Clippers, he made his impact with his defense, averaging 1.2 blocks per game.

In the second round against the OKC Thunder, he came up big with his offense. He averaged 17.7 points while shooting 47.6% from the field and 47% from the three-point line.

In the conference finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Washington has elevated his defense. He is averaging 1.3 blocks per game in three games against the Timberwolves.

After going 3-0 in the series against the Timberwolves, the chances of the Mavs reaching the NBA Finals are high. In a potential showdown against the Boston Celtics, P.J. Washington might be the deciding factor in the series.

If he can play defense without losing his touch on the offense, the Mavs have a real chance to win it all.
