Watch: Anthony Edwards makes a 15-year-old cancer survivor's dream come true and gifts him his shoes

Minnesota Timberwolves star shooting guard Anthony Edwards is widely considered one of the most likable players in the NBA due to his outgoing, fun-loving personality. Edwards once again reminded fans why he’s so beloved on Monday night as he took the time to make one fan’s dream come true.

Edwards met with a 15-year-old cancer survivor named Preston, who reportedly had one dream: to meet Edwards. He then gifted him a pair of shoes before posing for a photo with the young fan.

Anthony Edwards on Minnesota’s blowout win over Atlanta

Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves had one of their best games of the season on Monday night against Atlanta, blowing out the Hawks 136-115. Minnesota was led by Edwards, who finished with 32 points, eight rebounds, five assists, one steal, and two blocks on 48.0% shooting. The win marked Edwards’ first career victory against his hometown team (1-4). Following the game, Edwards spoke about the big win:

“It’s the first time I’ve beaten Atlanta, and it’s in Atlanta, so I’m super happy,” Edwards said.
“I’m at a loss for words,” Edwards continued.

Wolves veteran forward Kyle Anderson also added his third career triple-double to the victory. Anderson finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, and two blocks on 83.3% shooting.

Meanwhile, Atlanta was led by star point guard Trae Young, who finished with 41 points, six rebounds, seven assists and one steal on 60.0% shooting. However, it wasn’t enough to keep Atlanta in the game:

Minnesota (35-34, seventh in the West) ended its two-game losing streak with a win. Meanwhile, Atlanta (34-35, eighth in the East) has now lost four of its last six games.
