Watch: Brandon Miller "Lock him up!" chants erupt as Alabama star gets booed on court

Brandon Miller of the University of Alabama is among the top prospects for this year's NBA draft. However, Miller could be in deep trouble after a preliminary hearing revealed that he allegedly provided a gun to teammate Darius Miles.

Miles and another man named Michael Davis were arrested last month for shooting a woman on campus. CBS News reported that Tuscaloosa Police investigator Brandon Culpepper testified about Miller's alleged involvement.

The freshman allegedly brought his own gun to Miles on the night of the shooting after his teammate texted him and asked. However, Alabama coach Nate Oats told reporters on Tuesday that Miller was cleared to play against South Carolina.

Well, Gamecocks fans have a different point of view. They chanted "lock him up" at Miller every time he touched the ball.

The chants didn't deter Brandon Miller, as he scored a career-high 41 points against South Carolina. He also hit the game-winning layup in overtime to give Alabama a 78-76 win.

Miller ended the game with 41 points, eight rebounds and one assist. Charles Bediako added ten points and nine rebounds, while Noah Clowney had eight points and eight rebounds. G.G. Jackson led South Carolina with 19 points and three rebounds.

Brandon Miller could be a Top 3 pick in 2023 NBA draft

Brandon Miller of the University of Alabama stands at 6' 9" and weighs around 200 pounds. He can play both forward positions and could easily be a top-three pick in this year's NBA draft.

Miller has the length to shoot over smaller defenders and could take bigger defenders off the dribble. He also has above-average handles for his size and can score from mid-range. He can hit jumpers, but his 3-point shot needs consistency.

At the defensive end, Miller is a good shot blocker due to his length. He also has the size and quickness to defend multiple positions. He can play on-ball and off-ball defense, as well as great team defense.

As for his weakness, Miller will need to add more muscle and increase his strength to finish better after absorbing contact. Scouts also think that he will have to improve his shot selection.

NBA Draft Room has Miller as the third-best prospect, behind Victor Wembanyama and Scoot Henderson. Some of his NBA comparisons include Danny Granger and Rudy Gay.
