Nike released a new ad following Bronny James' selection
There was much fanfare leading up to the draft, especially focused on Bronny James and where he'd eventually land. As it turns out, he became a second-round pick as the Lakers selected him. Following the draft, Nike was quick to share an ad featuring the new member of the Purple & Gold.
The brand posted a photo that features Bronny as a young kid on one side and his present self on the other.
"Pressure was never a question..." the ad read. "When passion has always been the answer."
The draft is a touching moment for Bronny. There was a ton of pressure on him since he's the firstborn of LeBron. The older James was selected first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003 and has been at the top of his game until today. The four-time champion has accomplished a lot, which puts a significant amount of pressure on his children.
However, Bronny carved his path and is looking forward to establishing himself as a solid NBA player. He's out to prove and silence the doubters wrong now that he's made it to the league. The 19-year-old guard will start working on his development this offseason.
