Watch: Charles Barkley almost got a tattoo on his a** on live TV and Shaquille O’Neal spanked him to get him ready
On a recent episode of "Inside the NBA", it seemed like Charles Barkley was about to get inked on live TV. Tattoo artist Claire Whaling made a guest appearance on the show equipped with all of her materials. Whaling heard that Barkley was interested in getting a tattoo and decided to offer him her services. It was very unexpected to see a bed and some needles inside the studio.
It was a funny segment, to say the least. Charley Barkley appeared reluctant at first, but Shaquille O'Neal jokingly pressured him to stand up and get inked. Fellow co-hosts Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith kept making jokes on the side by telling Claire to do Charles' huge bottom. Shaq even went as far as to spank Chuck's behind, hilariously horrifying kids watching at home.
The segment gets funnier the longer one watches it. The audience can clearly see Barkley becoming more nervous as Whaling continues to set up her equipment. While his co-hosts are making fun of his butt, Barkley changes his mind and backs out. The needle's buzzing sound ultimately scared him off. Here's what Barkley said as Whaling turned her tattoo gun on:
"Claire, calm down over here. I don't want-- OH LORD!"
More hilarious segments with Charles Barkley in the years to come
Turner Sports has employed Charles Barkley as an analyst since 2000. He has been contributing to TNT's "Inside the NBA" for more than 20 years and makes about $10 million annually. Although Barkley's current contract has three more years left, he recently received an extension offer. The New York Post reports that his new, ten-year contract will pay him over $100 million.
Due to rumors that Chuck may switch from TNT to LIV Golf, Turner Sports offered Barkley a new contract on a whim to prevent the possibility of losing him. Once his current contract expires in 2025, the new agreement will take effect. Chuck revealed that he never discussed contract extensions with Turner.
The television show "Inside the NBA" starring Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson has been a major hit. A dynamic that is so successful with the audience might be ruined by removing one of them. They have great chemistry together, which is why people continue to watch the show.
