Watch: Christian Braun posterizes Rudy Gobert with ferocious dunk, sparks skirmish with taunt on 4xDPOY

Christian Braun was fired up after posterizing four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert during the Denver Nuggets 119-116 loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. The moment unfolded with 5:13 left in the fourth quarter when Braun received a pass from Russell Westbrook and drove into the paint from the top of the key.

The young Nuggets guard showcased impressive athleticism as he threw down a powerful two-handed dunk over Gobert. Braun then taunted the Timberwolves center, sparking a brief skirmish. Unhappy with Braun’s antics, Gobert wrapped his arms around the Nuggets guard.

Officials quickly intervened, separating the players and after review, assessed each with a technical foul.

After the game, Gobert was asked about being dunked on by Braun and the French star responded with an honest reply.

Reflecting on their performances in the game, Braun scored 14 points, shooting 5 of 11 from the field, including 1 of 3 from beyond the arc. He also contributed seven rebounds and two assists. On the other hand, Gobert tallied 17 points on an efficient 7 of 10 shooting. The center added 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks to his stat line.
