Watch: Dwyane Wade gives fans glimpse into how he stays fit while enjoying high-end yacht vacation
Five years removed from the end of his playing career, Dwyane Wade has managed to keep himself in great shape. While enjoying his summer, the former Finals MVP provided a glimpse of his workout routine these days.
After making his announcing debut in the 2024 Summer Olympics, Wade appears to be enjoying the end of summer on a yacht vacation. Going away has not stopped him from getting work in, as he posted a series of videos on his Instagram story of him working out.
After posting two different clips of him working out on the boat, Dwyane Wade finished with a glimpse of his post-retirement physique.
The last time Wade was in action in the NBA was back in the 2018-19 season. Following a brief stint with LeBron James on the Cleveland Cavaliers, he returned to the Miami Heat via trade.
At the age of 37, Wade played in 72 games for the Heat during the 2019 campaign. His farewell tour ended with a final All-Star nomination after averaging 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists.
Wade would end up announcing his retirement from basketball in the summer of 2019. He ended his career a 13-time All-Star along with helping the Heat win three championships (2006, 2012, 2013).
Dwyane Wade honors Kobe Bryant with pair of social media posts for his birthday
During his Hall of Fame career in the NBA, Dwyane Wade had the opportunity to face off against numerous legendary talents. Among those was the late Kobe Bryant.
Seeing that they both played the shooting guard position, the two battled up close on countless occasions. Earlier this week, the NBA celebrated what would have been the LA Lakers legend's 46 birthday. Among those to express their love and admiration for him was Wade.
The Miami Heat legend made two posts for Bryant on his birthday. First, Wade posted an old quote of his on X (formerly Twitter).
After that, he re-posted a series of photos of Kobe for his birthday.
By the time Dwyane Wade was getting ready to enter his prime, Kobe was already established as a superstar and multi-time champion in the league. However, this didn't stop the young guard from taking it to him every chance he got.
One of Wade's most impressive outings against Kobe came in 2007. While the Lakers went on to beat the Heat that night, he was still nothing short of dominant. Wade finished that game with 35 points, five rebounds, eight assists and four steals.
A year later, Wade would drop 35 points on Kobe Bryant again. The only difference was this time that the Heat would also pick up a win against the Lakers.
When it comes to the top shooting guards of the 2000s and 2010s, Wade and Kobe should be among the first players mentioned.
