WATCH: French star Gershon Yabusele dunks all over LeBron James

In a very rare occurrence on the basketball floor, superstar LeBron James got dunked on, by French player Gershon Yabusele. As bad as it might look for the Team USA superstar, this was a bigger moment for Yabusele.

In the second quarter, Yabusele got the ball and he was being defended by Devin Booker. Yabusele faked to shoot and beat Booker on the play. With no player to defend the Frenchman, James stepped ahead to take the charge for an offensive foul.

However, it was too late and the damage had been done. Yabusele rose up and threw a thunderous dunk on the LA Lakers superstar. On the poster dunk, LeBron James was on the floor while Yabusele dunked on him.

LeBron James hasn't been dunked on many times in his career. One of the biggest dunks on James has been thrown by none other than his Team USA teammate Jayson Tatum. The Boston Celtics star threw down a dunk on James in the 2018 Eastern Conference finals.

The history will have two memories of this game. One that James got dunked on and second, the basketball legend ended his Olympic career exactly the way he wanted.

LeBron James is playing his last Olympic game of his career

LeBron James has achieved everything that a basketball player could ever imagine in his career. Four NBA titles, four season MVPs and four NBA Finals MVPs. He has won a bronze medal and three Olympic gold medals in his illustrious career.

At 39 years of age, it is not a wild idea to say that the fans are watching the end of James' stellar career. Since winning the NBA title in 2020, James hasn't won anything major. He won the NBA Cup and NBA Cup MVP in the 2023-24 season.

It seems like the King really knows how to end his career on a high stage. With USA's dominance in basketball being questioned, James got the perfect opportunity to make one last impactful decision of his career. He gathered the best players around the league to defend USA's gold at the Olympics.

James and Team USA won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics and he got the last laugh. This is his third gold medal at the Olympics and the fourth medal overall.

The 'King' scored 14 points in the gold medal game at the Paris Olympics. He shot 6 of 10 from the field and also had 10 assists and 6 rebounds in the game.
