Watch: Jaren Jackson Jr. takes selfie with Kamala Harris as Grizzlies star pushes masses to vote on election day

Memphis Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. took a selfie with Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the Nov. 5 presidential elections. Before the elections, Jackson got a chance to speak with the presidential candidate and offered words of support.

Jackson is one of the few NBA stars who have used their platform to encourage fans and his followers on social media to exercise their right to vote. The All-Star forward is also one of the few players to endorse Harris in the 2024 Presidential Race.

Ahead of the elections, Jackson shared a video urging others to vote.

"Since I was around 19, I think I was very excessive and loud about getting people to use their voice and vote. I still am, and I always will continue to be just because it's something that a lot of people before me died for, and a lot of people didn't have that right. It's something you should always use," Jackson said.
"Today’s the day! Show up and show out, Go VOTE! #MuchRequired" Jackson posted his video on Instagram.

"It was great," Jackson said. "It was just ironic that we were in the same place . . . It was a blessing to be able to talk to her for a brief moment and actually meet her in person, because she's been doing so much work and she's been such a great leader for so long in all the roles she has been.
"She definitely deserves it and appreciates it, and I appreciate everything she does," Jackson said on showing support for Harris. "I'm praying for her. I hope the best for her. She's going to do a great job when she's running this thing."
