Jaylen Brown says adversities made him better
The All-Star forward has had his ups and downs in his NBA journey, which Brown said only made him better and helped him achieve the things he has in his career.
Selected No. 3 overall in the 2016 draft out of the University of California, Berkeley, Brown did not have it rosy at the start, and had to constantly prove himself.
In a recent interview with FOX Sports, he shared what his NBA journey has been like so far:
"All the things that I thought were setting me back or adversity ended up being the biggest blessings. Getting moved to the bench, even trade talks, getting booed, whatever the fans were saying, overpaid, overrated. All of that stuff made me who I am today. It drove my work ethic. And it drove my demeanor," Brown said.
Brown's perseverance and hard work have served him well in becoming a three-time NBA All-Star with two NBA Finals appearances, including the ongoing one against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Celtics lead 2-0 in the finals heading into Game 3 on Wednesday, with Jaylen Brown averaging a team-high 21.5 points to go along with 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.5 blocks in 40 minutes of play.
