Joel Embiid signs a three-year max contract extension worth a reported $193 million
It has been reported that the Philadelphia 76ers and the 2023 NBA MVP have come to a contract agreement. Joel Embiid has agreed to sign a three-year max contract extension, which will keep him in the city of brotherly love through 2029. The deal is estimated to be worth around $193 million, with Embiid having a player option in the 2028-29 season.
Embiid made an Instagram post last week where he expressed his love for the city in the caption and displayed his commitment to getting a championship.

Last season, although the 2023 MVP struggled with injuries, he managed to take his team to the playoffs where they lost to the New York Knicks. Embiid averaged 33.0 points, 10.8 points and 5.7 assists delivering yet another MVP-level performance. With him back to full health, 76ers fans eagerly await the upcoming season.
