Jose Alvarado just hit a game-winning 3 to win the game for Team Pau at the NBA Rising Stars Challenge. The New Orleans Pelicans guard hit a long-range shot to help his team reach the target score of 25 points and win it all.
Bennedict Mathurin, one of the best rookies of the 2022-23 season, passed the ball to Alvarado, who knocked down the big shot.
With the big shot, Alvarado won the tournament for his team and also received the 2023 Rising Stars Game MVP award.

Alvarado was mic'd up during the match between the best young players in the NBA. Shortly before he hit a game-winning 3, the Pelicans guard made a bet with Donovan Mitchell that he'd make a game-winning shot if he got the ball.
Considering that the 24-yaer-old guard was amazing all night long, it's no surprise that he had a lot of confidence at the end of the game. With his team leading 22-20, Alvarado hit a 3-pointer to reach the target score of 25 points and end the tournament.
It's interesting that Jose Alvarado is the only undrafted player who participated in the game. However, he showed the world how good he is and that the Pelicans have an amazing young player in him.

Alvarado and his squad beat Team Deron during the first game of the 2023 NBA Rising Stars tournament. Due to this, they ended up playing against Team Joakim, who defeated Team Jason in the first round.
