Jusuf Nurkic and Naji Marshall got into it on Friday during the Dallas Mavericks versus Phoenix Suns matchup. Their altercation escalated after Nurkic slapped Marshall before the Mavericks guard swung at the Suns center, who crashed to the floor after multiple players got engaged in the fight.

The fight happened with nine minutes left in the third quarter. The Mavericks led 60-44. The incident caught fire after Nurkic elbowed Daniel Gafford on a post-up and bumped Kyrie Irving, seemingly fueling Marshall's reaction. It was a heated verbal altercation, followed by the two players charging at each other.

The referees, rightfully so, didn't hold back on ejections after Friday's skirmish between the Suns and Mavericks players. The main instigators, Jusuf Nurkic and Naji Marshall were ejected, but so was P.J. Washington. The Mavericks forward shoved Nurkic amid the brawl and faced the music for his actions as the refs tossed him out, too.

The Mavericks were already shorthanded with Luka Doncic sidelined, while the Suns, who lack big-man depth, lost their starting center in a lopsided affair.
