Watch: Kai Cenat chases Kevin Durant on Team USA’s bus en route to Olympic gold game
Famous YouTuber and streamer Kai Cenat starred in a fun moment featuring Kevin Durant ahead of the Paris Olympics men's basketball gold match.
The New York-born and based content creator, as many other fans, is in the French capital to watch the Americans take on the host team for the gold medal.
While Team USA left its headquarters and headed to the arena, plenty of people watched them getting on the bus. Cenat was streaming when he saw Durant and tried to get away from the police and closer to the two-time NBA champion as he got in the vehicle.
"Wait, let me go, let me go! I seen KD," Cenat said before he started running behind the bus.
Kai Cenat couldn't find him and was almost hit by a police officer on a motorcycle. He didn't catch Durant but said he was sure that was the Phoenix Suns star.
"I done seen KD. On God I done seen KD," he added.
After the chase, Cenat was surrounded by fans but he left, presumably for the arena where the action will take place. Durant and company are keen to win the gold medal after a thrilling semifinal duel against Serbia.
Steve Kerr makes major Kevin Durant change ahead of France game
After five games coming off the bench, Steve Kerr decided to move Kevin Durant to the starting lineup, sending Jrue Holiday to the bench. The star forward was dealing with an injury that prevented him from playing in the pre-Olympic exhibition games.
KD made his return against Serbia in the first Olympic game, dropping 23 points on Serbia to lead Team USA to a comfortable 110-84 win. After coming off the bench in the semifinal duel against the same opponent, Shams Charania reported that Kerr would include Durant in the starting lineup for the final.
"Team USA is planning to start all-time leading scorer Kevin Durant vs. France in Saturday's gold medal game at the Paris Olympics, per sources. Jrue Holiday is expected to come off the USA bench."
