Watch: Kevin Durant blocks and fouls LeBron James' son Bronny James as Lakers rookie tries to posterize himĀ

Kevin Durant wasn't letting LeBron James' son, Bronny James, get away with posterizing him on a dunk attempt during Thursday's preseason between the Lakers and Suns. The play occurred during the fourth quarter as the Lakers set up an easy scheme to get Bronny a free runway to the rim.

However, Durant entered the frame out of nowhere. While he got a piece of the ball, Durant was called for a foul because he bumped into Bronny before making the block. The Suns even reviewed the call, but the foul stood.

Here's the video of that possession:

Bronny James got two shots out of it from the line, but he failed to convert both.

It has been a surreal experience for LeBron James' eldest son, who has now faced two of his father's biggest rivals, Durant and Steph Curry. Bronny got the chance to guard the Warriors All-Star when the Lakers faced Golden State on Tuesday.

Bronny James comes up with one of his better showings in preseason

Preseason hasn't gone Bronny James' way. The rookie has struggled with his shot and offense, while his defense has been serviceable at best, with flashes of what he could provide at his peak. However, Thursday's outing was one of his better games against the Suns.

He had four points on 2 of 4 shooting, with two rebounds. The box scores didn't reflect it as much, but Bronny seemed more engaged and impactful on both ends with his involvement. He was a +17 on the team. It was the first time he returned with a positive box +/- after playing the entire fourth quarter and overtime.

Bronny James looked comfortable in his role next to the veterans as he played alongside Anthony Davis and D'Angelo Russell in the clutch before the youngsters joined him in the clutch. His defense against the Suns' veterans also looked serviceable, which was a good sign for his development.

The foundation seems to be laid out for the 20-year-old as he potentially gets his last run with JJ Redick's team for the rest of the year on Friday against the Warriors.

Bronny is unlikely to play on his dad's team. The plan is for him to spend time in the G League so that he can develop his game on both ends.
