Watch: Kevin Durant’s sidesplitting answers to some speed questions around his life: “I feel like a lot of people got their knives aimed at me"

Kevin Durant has proven himself to be one of the greatest scorers in NBA history. With his long frame and ability to rise up even the tallest of defenders, Durant has mastered the art of the pull-up jumper. Despite that, he has managed to find himself at odds with many social media users over the years.

From his departure from Oklahoma City to his infamous burner scandal Durant become a polarizing figure for several years. Recently, however, his laid-back, basketball-focused mindset has earned him plenty of praise as he tunes out the critics and focuses on winning another championship.

During a recent sit-down, Durant participated in a rapid-fire Q&A as he answered questions from fans. Although the former MVP has been incredibly candid in recent years, the situation provided some hilarious moments as he was put in the hot seat.

The first question was about Durant's famed "Slim Reaper" nickname, something that began to catch on during his time with the OKC Thunder. When the nickname was given to Durant in 2014, he was initially hesitant to embrace it. As he explained at the time, he didn't want to be associated so close to death, and preferred his "KD" nickname.

Now, however, it seems he's more accepting of the moniker. After explaining the origins of the nickname, Durant then opened up about his unique Twitter profile picture. The image, from Tangled, which has become quite a popular meme since the movie's release, seemed like a subtle shot at his critics. As he explained during the Q&A with The Boardroom:

"I feel like a lot of people got their knives aimed at me, and I'm just back just chilling with a smirk on my face."

Below you can see a clip talking about Durant's evolution from a lanky young prospect to the "Slim Reaper" the league knows and fears today.

After touching on the origins of his Twitter picture, Durant then shifted gears to answer more questions. From there, things only got more and more hilarious as Durant was asked what he gets tired of being asked. Unsurprisingly, the 6-foot-10 superstar explained that he grows tired of being asked how tall he is.

Then, things took a different tone, as Durant spoke about the funniest thing he's seen online. He said, when the internet got ahold of photos of his ashy legs, he couldn't help but laugh.

Before wrapping up, Durant made sure to impart some wisdom on viewers, passing along some of the best advice he's ever received:

"Nobody cares, go to work."

Durant has certainly gone to work this season, silencing the critics and the noise that has followed the Brooklyn Nets this year. With plenty of distractions off the court, from Kyrie Irving's controversy to the firing of Steve Nash, it would be easy for KD to lose focus.

As he said in the Q&A, nobody cares, go to work.
