Watch: LeBron James crowns himself with King celebration on big screen while watching Dodgers vs. Padres Game 5 with Savannah James

Since arriving in Los Angeles, LeBron James has fully immersed himself in the local culture. The NBA's all-time leading scorer is continuing his support, making an appearance at a Los Angeles Dodgers playoff game.

On Friday, the Dodgers took on the San Diego Padres in Game 5 of the National League Division Series, looking to punch their ticket to the National League Conference Series. James showed his support for the Dodgers with his wife Savannah James also in attendance.

During the game, LeBron James and Savannah James were featured on the jumbotron. LeBron James performed his patented king celebration, crowning himself in front of the whole stadium. Here's the video:

LeBron also crowned his wife Savannah during the couple's jumbotron moment. James first debuted the signature celebration after a game-sealing 3-pointer versus the Utah Jazz on April 9, 2023.

With LeBron James in attendance, the Dodgers topped the Padres 2-0, clinching their spot in the NLCS. The Dodgers meet the New York Mets in the Conference Series, searching for their first trip to the World Series since 2020, when they beat the Tampa Bay Rays in six games.


LeBron James and LA Lakers start NBA season on Oct. 22

The start of the NBA season is just weeks away. The LA Lakers have kicked off their preseason with a 1-2 record through three games, topping the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night.

LeBron has appeared in the Lakers' last two preseason games versus the Bucks and the Phoenix Suns. Against Milwaukee, James notched up 16 minutes, posting 11 points, six rebounds and three assists, shooting 4-11 and 2-4 from 3-point range as Los Angeles won 107-102.

Against Phoenix on Sunday, LeBron played alongside his son Bronny James for the first time. The 20-time NBA All-Star played 16 minutes, registering 19 points, five rebounds and four assists, shooting 8-12 from the field and 2-3 from 3-point territory despite a 118-114 loss for the Lakers.

With his son suiting up alongside him, LeBron will enter his 22nd season in the NBA, searching for a fifth championship and second with the Lakers. With a new coach in JJ Redick at the helm, expectations are high for the Lakers.
