If there's anything LeBron James is good at apart from being a good businessman and a great basketball player, it is being a family man. This can also involve embarrassing the kids in public, and the LA Lakers star did exactly what girl dads do: embarrass his daughter with his shenanigans.
On Thursday, James was one of the high-profile spectators watching the Team USA women’s beach volleyball. While Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth competed against China, James sat in the stands with his wife and daughter by his side. Savannah James and LeBron James sipped wine while their daughter Zhuri watched with her parents.
At one point, the Team USA men’s basketball star stood up and started to shout, and Zhuri joined him. However, when he realized that he was on TV, the billionaire athlete started his quirky dance moves with the confidence of a great dancer and the moves of a bad dancer.
The public dance moves from her father were too much to handle for Zhuri, forcing her to hide her face in embarrassment.
James is only one of the many fathers who have not shied away from embarrassing their daughters. Likewise, Zhuri shares the embarrassment of many teenage daughters who have had to be in such situations.
The act from James was a wholesome family moment. He has given primacy to his family despite his busy basketball schedule for 21 years. The Lakers star has been a great son, husband and father.
LeBron James and Savannah James support daughter Zhuri at the volleyball game
Zhuri Nova James is a great volleyball player at the age of just 9. Earlier, in May this year, Savannah James and her husband LeBron James were in attendance for their daughter’s volleyball game, cheering from the sideline.
Savannah posted a video of their daughter during the game on her Instagram story. Zhuri was seen hustling during the volleyball game. She started with a float serve; after two plays, she saved the ball by diving on the court and returning it to her teammate from her setter’s position.
Posting the video on her IG story, Savannah James captioned it:
“She is working out there !!!”
LeBron was also seen hyping up his daughter from the background. The four-time NBA champion was heard shouting,
"Let's step into it baby... good job baby girl!"
James and Savannah James have consistently supported their children. They have been regular visitors to their sons' games as well. Savannah was a regular attendee at Bronny James' Summer League games.
