Watch: Massive brawl breaks out in Taiwanese Basketball league, Dwight Howard among 12 ejected as even coaches throw hands

Dwight Howard's incredible basketball career in Taiwan just took a different turn last Sunday. He was one of 12 players ejected after the biggest brawl in T1 league history.

Howard's Taoyuan Leopards were in a heated battle against the Taiwan Beer Herobears. The dustup started when Chen Hsiao-jung, Howard's teammate, hit Chiang Yu-an with an elbow.

The HeroBears team captain quickly retaliated with a punch as both tried to knock each other out. They were both momentarily stopped before one of the assistant coaches from the HeroBears went after Chen and attempted a haymaker at the guard.

Howard was ejected for getting in the middle of the fight. It appeared as if he was doing his best to act as a pacifier. Eventually, order was restored as game officials and coaching staff from both teams prevailed over the players to stop the scuffle.

After the massive brawl, the referees took their time to review the commotion. Dwight Howard and seven teammates were tossed out of the game. Howard, Chen, Michael Efevberha, Lin Yi-huei, Huang Y-sheng, Tseng Pin-fu and trainer Dimitrios Jimmy Vidas didn't finish the game due to ejection.

Five of the HeroBears were also thrown out by the officials, namely, Chiang, Lin, Huang Chen, Liang Hao-zhen and Tsao Xun-xiang.

It remains to be seen if all the ejected players will also be suspended.

Howard finished the night with 28 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists. The Leopards won 120-108 following the ejection of nearly half the team.

The victory raised the Leopards' record to 4-11, which is still tied for last in the T1 league. Shaquille O'Neal trolled Howard during the NBA All-Star game a few weeks ago for having a 3-11 win-loss slate.

The three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year winner has put up incredible numbers but hasn't impacted winning. Many will consider his season a disappointment if the Leopards can't turn around their season.

O'Neal's dig at Howard received a prompt reply from Charles Barkley. "Chuck" told Shaq that he was keeping tabs on the Taiwan league rather than the NBA. To recall, the legendary Laker didn't even know who Rui Hachimura was before his arrival in LA.

It wasn't surprising, though, that Shaquille O'Neal kept an eye on Dwight Howard's team. The two had a public spat a few months ago.
