Watch: Michael Jordan lavishly spends on brand new $70,000,000 Gulfstream jet with approximately $500k custom paint job

NBA legend Michael Jordan recently purchased a new $70 million-worth Gulfstream G650ER jet. It is complete with a unique tail number and paint job that will let those who see it in the air immediately recognize it as MJ's jet.

On Tuesday, a video from TikTok hit X, formerly known as Twitter, giving fans a glimpse at the exterior of the one-of-a-kind aircraft.

Purchased for a whopping $70 million, the plane has a custom tail number, which is the aircraft equivalent of a license plate. The tail number reads N236MJ, with the 23 signifying his jersey number, and the six representing the number of championships the Hall of Famer won throughout his career.

Of course, given that the jet belongs to Jordan, his iconic Jumpman logo is also painted on the tail of the plane.

In addition to the plane costing $70 million, sports and business reporter Joe Pompliano estimates that the elephant print paint job, synonymous with Jordan Brand, costs $500,000 on its own.

The Gulfstream G650ER can reportedly carry up to 18 passengers, depending on the interior layout, and has a range of 8,100 miles (7,000 nautical miles).

Michael Jordan files anti-trust suit against NASCAR in partnership with another racing team

Over the past two years, NASCAR has been working to get team owners to sign a new deal. So far, 13 of the 15 team owners signed the agreement despite gripes that NASCAR's negotiating methods were unfair.

After becoming a member of NASCAR in 2016, Jordan's 23XI racing felt that NASCAR's decision to change the terms of its agreement for 2025 onwards were unfair. While 13 of the 15 other team owners signed, two teams refused.

The two holdouts, Michael Jordan's 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports, decided to join together to file an anti-trust suit against NASCAR last week. They allege that the company negotiated in bad faith, and has used "anticompetitive and exclusionary practices."

In their anti-trust filing documents, Michael Jordan's 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports took aim at NASCAR and its CEO Jim France, saying:

“We share a passion for racing, the thrill of competition, and winning. Off the racetrack, we share a belief that change is necessary for the sport we love.
"Together, we brought this antitrust case so that racing can thrive and become a more competitive and fair sport in ways that will benefit teams, drivers, sponsors, and, most importantly, fans.”

In addition, in a statement from Jordan himself relayed by The Athletic, he was quoted as saying:

“We want a fair deal, but this wasn’t fair. I didn’t just file it for me. It’s for everyone.”

If the joint suit succeeds, the Bulls legend, 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports could change the face of NASCAR forever.
