Nikola Jokic is enjoying his offseason with the same relaxed demeanor that made headlines last year. After helping secure a bronze medal for Serbia at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Jokic has been spotted celebrating in Serbia, sporting an unbuttoned shirt and looking as untroubled as ever.
For the second consecutive year, Jokic has gone viral for dancing on top of a chair. His viral dance moves were first seen at a concert in Sombor last year, and now he's again captured attention for his moves to Donna Ares' "Prokleta Je Amerika."
The reason for the celebration isn't entirely clear, but it included other Serbian team members like Vasilije Micić. Watch it below.
Nikola Jokic played a pivotal role in Serbia's bronze-medal victory, delivering a triple-double in their game against Germany with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists—setting game highs and marking just the fifth triple-double in Olympic history.
Throughout the 2024 Olympics, Nikola Jokic averaged 18.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, 8.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.
His performance earned him a place on the Olympic All-Star Five, alongside LeBron James and Steph Curry from Team USA, Victor Wembanyama of France and Germany's Dennis Schroder.
Since Serbia's bronze medal victory, Nikola Jokic has been seen celebrating with hilarious moments. Photos and videos have surfaced of Jokic partying shirtless, dancing energetically and singing patriotic songs with other members of Team Serbia, as seen below:
Key dates of Nikola Jokic and Denver Nuggets’ 2024-25 season
The Denver Nuggets unveiled their 2024-25 schedule on Thursday, and they are set to kick off their season at home on Oct. 24 against the OKC Thunder, the top team in the Western Conference last season.
According to Nuggets PR, Denver will enjoy a strong start with seven of their first 10 games at home, including a season-long five-game homestand from Nov. 2 to Nov. 10.
Additionally, the Nuggets will play on Christmas Day for the third consecutive season, facing off against the Phoenix Suns.
The Nuggets are set for 16 sets of back-to-back games this season.
Their schedule includes seven games on TNT, 11 on ESPN and four on ABC.
The Nuggets experienced significant changes this offseason, losing key players like Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Justin Holiday and Reggie Jackson.
However, they bolstered their roster by adding Russell Westbrook to strengthen their backcourt, along with Dario Saric and first-round pick DaRon Holmes II, though Holmes II suffered a torn right Achilles.
Additionally, the Nuggets have re-signed DeAndre Jordan and Vlatko Cancar.
