The show provides a glimpse into Kiyan Anthony's life as he follows his father's footsteps aiming to become an NBA star. Overtime released the first season of the show in July 2023.

As Kiyan prepares for his senior season at Long Island Lutheran High School in New York, he is ranked No. 36 in ESPN's top 100 projections for the class of 2025. He is also the seventh-highest-ranked shooting guard in his class and the top prospect from New York.

According to 247 Sports, Kiyan is a four-star recruit and has received offers from various Division I programs, including Syracuse, his dad's alma mater. However, he is yet to make a final decision.

Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony breaks down what draws him to Paul George's game

Carmelo Anthony's son previously claimed that Paul George is his favorite NBA player of all time. In an interview with Brandon Robinson from ScoopB.com two weeks ago, Kiyan Anthony highlighted George's smooth game as he elaborated on his pick.

"I just think that the fluency he plays with and the smoothness he has to his game," Kiyan said. "It’s super elegant when he plays and people like that. The way he could get to a bucket whenever, that’s what people like."

Kiyan previously picked George as the G.O.A.T. of basketball over his dad in a segment on "COMPLEX" along with his mom La La Anthony in February. When asked about who their G.O.A.T. basketball player was during a rapid-fire round, La La answered first and put on a proud mama moment as she named her son.

“G.O.A.T. basketball player? Mine is this kid I know Kiyan Anthony,” La La said.

However, Kiyan showed no such bias in his answer, which was followed by a surprised La La who expected her son to pick his dad for the title.

“My G.O.A.T. is Paul George," said Kiyan.

During an appearance on the "7 PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony and Kid Mero" show in July, Kiyan Anthony explained his pick by citing George's smooth gameplay. Kiyan has embraced both Carmelo's and George's playing into his own style, as he too is skilled in getting to the basket and knocking down contested shots from mid-range.
