Watch: Rapper Gunna adds flair to Anthony Edwards' birthday bash in Paris
Renowned rapper Gunna made Anthony Edwards' birthday celebration in Paris even better when he was away from home participating in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The Minnesota Timberwolves star turned 23 and spent his party in Europe while playing for Team USA.
Edwards didn't want to miss celebrating his birthday while in Europe, so he went to a club, where he danced while hanging out with some of his friends. Gunna was the only famous person filmed at Ant-Man's birthday bash.
The two rapped lyrics together, having a good time. Watch the video below to see the Wolves star enjoy his birthday party with the Grammy-nominated rapper.
Edwards is on his way to win his first Olympic gold medal with Team USA. Off the bench, he has routinely scored double digits for the national team. The two-time All-Star had a 26-point outing against Puerto Rico on Friday and helped the team capture their third-straight win.
Even though he's played hard this summer, Edwards has not forgotten how to have a good time and celebrate with his friends.
Anthony Edwards gets to play alongside his favorite player this summer
Team USA has been on a tear this year. They've assembled an almost unbeatable squad that has performed at the top of its game since the tournament started. For Anthony Edwards, he's fortunate to share the court with the seasoned stars of the game, especially Kevin Durant.
Before the 2024 Paris Olympics started, Ant spoke about playing alongside the two-time champion.
"The only thing I’m looking forward to doing is playing alongside Kevin Durant," Edwards said.
Anthony Edwards has expressed how he looked up to KD in the past. He even got to play and eliminate the star forward in the 2024 playoffs. But this time, it's different.
Both the Wolves and Phoenix Suns stars have been consistent bench contributors for Team USA this summer. Due to KD's injury at the start, coach Steve Kerr has opted not to put him in the starting lineup. It has worked well for the team since they got a sparkplug off the bench, and it also benefitted Anthony Edwards' first Olympic experience.
"I love that he’s coming off the bench," Edwards said. "I get to play with him, so I hope Coach keeps bringing him off the bench. I get to pass it to him. He gets to pass it back. That’s probably one of my biggest dreams ever, so that’s dope."
The ultimate winners are the fans. They get to see two exciting players at different stages of their careers play together for one summer.
